University of Waikato Admissions Requirements
Intermediate students are not eligible for direct entry, one year of successful study at a recognized institution of the university. or successful completion of a University of Otago Foundation Year program or equivalent.
INDIA: Achieve an average of 75% over the best four academic subjects in the Indian School Certificate (ISC), or the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC), and selected state boards: Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal with a minimum of 60% in English, or:
An average of 80% over the best four academic subjects in all other state boards with a minimum of 65% in English.
International Baccalaureate: Completed International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum of 24 points.
A Level: Applicants must achieve a minimum of 6 points taken from three subjects, achieving a minimum grade of C in at least one subject
Masters: A recognized bachelor’s degree with a B/B+ average, and a B/B+ average in a relevant subject if required. In percentage in between 65% – 74%

Eligibility:
This Scholarship is intended to support talented international students who are enrolling for the first time in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the University of Waikato. The Scholarships have a value of up to NZD$20,000 and will be awarded to successful applicants who demonstrate excellent academic achievement.

Eligibility
For international students intending to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree at UoW in A Trimester 2023. Students must have completed study at NCEA Level 2 and/or 3, or equivalent. Those who have NCEA with Merit or Excellence will be eligible for additional funding of this award as they progress.
Important Note: NCEA level 3 is broadly equivalent to the UK General Certificate of Education (GCE) A-level. the relevant state or territory Senior Secondary Certificate of Education in Australia.
