AHURI Postgraduate Scholarship Top-up

A $7,000 scholarship to attract postgraduate students to partake in the AHURI National Housing Research Program (NHRP).

This scholarship will provide an annual stipend allowance of $7000 annually and is subject to satisfactory academic performance.

A successful Master of Philosophy (MPhil) recipient may be awarded the scholarship for up to 1.75 years.

A successful Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) may be awarded the scholarship for up to three years.

  • be a domestic or international student
  • hold an RTP or University of Sydney primary stipend scholarship

All other criteria are available in the 2023 Guidelines.

a. The successful applicant must attend three Postgraduate Symposiums over their candidature or alternative event as approved by the Director, AHURI Research Centre, University of Sydney. The Postgraduate Symposium is an event that assists in creating and fostering a housing research community for emerging researchers. Before they attend the symposium, scholars must prepare a paper for presentation to the symposium.

b. The successful applicant must submit progress report at the end of the first and second year of study to the Director, AHURI Research Centre, University of Sydney.

University of Sydney Tuition Fee Scholarship

These scholarships provide full tuition fee offsets for successful international research students at the University of Sydney.

No requirement for application. Eligible students must discuss their eligibility with their supervisor and provide evidence to support their eligibility.

Only successful recipients will be notified.

The scholarship will provide a tuition fee offset for up to 14 research periods (full-time).

  1. be an international student.
  2. have an unconditional offer of admission or be studying in a full-time PhD at the University of Sydney.
  3. have been awarded a stipend scholarship of $20,000 or above per annum through a competitive process.
  4. not have consumed more than one research period of their candidature at the time of consideration.

Candidates must discuss their eligibility with their supervisor and provide evidence to support their eligibility. Failure to do so may lead to the candidate’s ineligibility.
