The University of South Wales is a public research institution with campuses in Cardiff, Newport, and Pontypridd. On April 11, 2013, the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales merged to establish the University of Wales. In the QS World University Rankings 2023, it is rated 363rd. Furthermore, the University of South Wales is placed 1001 in Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings. The admittance rate at the University of South Wales is 20%.

Entry Requirements

Overall average of 65% and above in the year 12 Intermediate (HSC) in a relevant subject area or Applicants with a 2-year Bachelor’s degree with 55% and above
International. Baccalaureate: Between 28 and 30 points
A-levels: AAA–ABB

Postgraduate

Holders of a good Bachelor’s degree (GPA of 2.2 or above out of 4.0 or 55% or above) from a four-year degree or Successful completion of a Master’s degree

English Language Requirements

IELTS:  6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component
TOEFL: 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking, and 17 in writing
PTE Academic UKVI:  with a score of 64 overall and 59 in each component

International Office Scholarships

International Office Scholarships worth up to £2,000 are available for students self-funding their studies.
You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.
Undergraduate (including top-ups): up to £1,500
Postgraduate: up to £2,000

Chancellors International Development Scholarships

International Development Scholarships of £2,500 are available for students from the following regions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses:
Africa
Latin America
South Asia
South East Asia
Central Asia and Turkey
Caribbean
Lebanon
Norway
This scholarship replaces the standard undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships. Higher National Diploma and Foundation Degree students are not eligible for the Chancellor’s International Development Scholarship.
