Scholarships at Swinburne are about providing opportunity, promoting equity, and recognizing excellence and achievement. Covers the cost of research tuition fees up to a maximum of four years full-time equivalent for doctoral students and two years for research masters.

Swinburne international undergraduate excellence scholarship

could receive up to 30 per cent off your tuition for the duration of your course, depending on your GPA (or equivalent).
You must have achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent GPA Australian standard equivalent to be eligible for this scholarship. Students who are already enrolled in our ELICOS+ program will be automatically considered for this scholarship

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for an international scholarship, you must:

  1. be an international student (citizens of Australia or New Zealand and permanent residents of Australia are not eligible)
  2. not be holding another scholarship or reduced fee arrangement from Swinburne
  3. satisfy any course or scholarship-specific entry requirements.
  4. You must maintain a 75 percent study load if you receive a performance-based scholarship. High achievers on our top-level scholarships will be required to maintain a certain level of academic success. For more details, please refer to your offer letter.

Greig Connell Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

  1. To be eligible for the Greig Connell Memorial Scholarship, applicants must:
  2. Meet the following criteria:
    1. female student
    1. Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or International student
  3. Meet the following enrolment criteria:
    1. be a continuing second or third year Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2024
  4. May have experienced personal or financial hardship, which may have hindered access to education

  5. Submit a personal statement (500 words) describing our passion for your field of study

Ju-Fen Scholarship

This scholarship supports and encourages a second or third year Bachelor of Film and Television student from a diverse cultural background, who has experienced financial hardship.

Value  The scholarship is valued at $5,000 for one year only.

  3. International student
  4. Meet the following enrolment criteria:
  5. be a second or third-year Swinburne student in Semester 1, 2024
  6. Provide evidence of diverse cultural backgrounds. This may include:
  7. not born in Australia
  8. parents not born in Australia
  9. English is not the primary language at home
  10. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  11. Refugee or Asylum Seeker
  12. Submit a personal statement (500 words) addressing the following:
  13. describe talent, flair, and passion for film and television
  14. Provide evidence of financial disadvantage. Examples include, but are not limited to:
  15. Centrelink statement
  16. Payslips
