North East England’s Newcastle upon Tyne is home to Newcastle Institution, a public research university in the UK. It began in 1963. However, It has campuses abroad in Malaysia and Singapore. Entry Requirements:

Undergraduate:

minimum of 60-65% in a Pass or Ordinary Bachelor’s Degree, 80% in a Polytechnic Diploma, or 70% in a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, or Education with Honors. For medicine, UCAT is required.

Vice chancellor’s global scholarship
Value of award: £4,000 tuition fee awards
Number of awards: 5 scholarships

Newcastle University is pleased to offer 5 Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships for international applicants who apply to commence full-time undergraduate studies.

Eligibility criteria: To be considered for Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships applicants must:

• be assessed as international for fee purposes
• hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city-center campus for the 2022/23 academic year
• already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A Level or equivalent

However, Applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards as the University offers specific schemes for these countries:

Business Excellence Scholarships

Scholarship awards of £2,000 and £5,000 are payable towards the cost of tuition fees and will award to high-achieving students

International Scholarships: £5,000 towards the cost of tuition fees will award to high-achieving international students commencing one of the specified Master’s degree courses for 2017 entry. 

Eligibility criteria:

You will consider for a Business Excellence Scholarship if you hold an unconditional offer for 2017 entry into one of Newcastle University London’s Master’s courses.

You should also meet the following criteria:

hold an unconditional offer of admission
have obtained a UK 1st Class Honours Degree or its international equivalent by the final scholarship deadline
have previously studied at a University with a strong academic reputation
hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0 (if your first language is not English) by the final scholarship deadline
Only applicants that meet the criteria for direct entry into the Master’s program will consider.
There is no application process for this scholarship. All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and hold unconditional offers will consider. 

Vice-chancellor international scholarship

Value of award: £4,000 tuition fee awards
Number of awards: 200 in total (undergraduate and postgraduate courses)
Start date and duration: September 2022 for the duration of your course.
Awards may allocate early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged.

Newcastle University offers 200 partial Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international students to study for an undergraduate degree or postgraduate Master’s degree.

Eligibility criteria: for awards applicants must:

• be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, or Vietnam.
• have been offered a place to study on an eligible undergraduate or Master’s degree course at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2022/23 academic year
• be assessed as international for fee purposes

Successful applicants will select on merit. Eligible candidates will assess as part of their academic application.

• want to build on their success and represent the University

Eligibility: You must be,
a current student in any year of study, or

an undergraduate or postgraduate applicant with a place at Newcastle University

You must:

have achieved senior or age group representative honors at the national and/or regional level in the last 12 months, and/or

be a member of the National Governing Body’s (NGB) performance squads, or equivalent

You must commit to:

improving in your sport

representing the University in British Universities Colleges Sport (BUCS) events, where applicable
