At Murdoch, we offer scholarships for a range of students, including international students.
Dr Jolyn Tan Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship aims to promote academic excellence in the study of Veterinary Medicine and to support the education of aspiring veterinarians at Murdoch University who can then do good for animals through their practice as Jolyn would have done.

Eligibility
- Be a full-time postgraduate international student
- Be commencing 5th year of DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
- Be interested in pursuing Large Production Animals or Emergency and critical Care (ECC) pathway as a career option
- Have a record of high achievement in previous years
Payment Method
Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following installments:
- $2,000 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
- $2000 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester
These payments are subject to acceptance and ongoing compliance with the terms and conditions.

Eligibility
You could be eligible if you meet all of the following requirements:
- you are an international, whole fee-paying student
- you are starting studies at one of Murdoch’s Western Australian campuses in 2022 to 2024 intakes
- you are beginning studies in an eligible Murdoch coursework degree
- you are not receiving any other Murdoch scholarship
You are not eligible to receive this scholarship if you:
- are an Australian citizen or permanent residency visa holder;
- are not required to pay international student tuition fees;
- have received an Australian Government scholarship that covers all or part of your tuition fees;
- are sponsored by a non-Australian Government funding body that holds a scholarship agreement with Murdoch University.
Eligible courses
Bachelor, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, and master by coursework degrees available to international students and delivered at one of Murdoch’s Western Australian campuses (excluding the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Veterinary Biology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Applied Psychology in Clinical Psychology as these are ineligible courses)

Payment Method
This scholarship works as a 20% tuition fee contribution and is automatically deducted from the course tuition fee each teaching period, for the course duration.
It will be credited to a recipient’s Murdoch University tuition fee account and cannot be accessed by the recipient.
TNE Transfer Scholarship
25% course fee contribution for 1 teaching period. Open to students transferring from Murdoch Singapore, Murdoch Dubai or Murdoch Malaysia to one of Murdoch’s Western Australian campuses (Local Campus), and commencing studies at the Local Campus in either 2023 or 2024.

- You will be studying an eligible course** at the Local Campus (see below for details) and
You are not eligible to receive this scholarship if you:
- are an Australian citizen or permanent residency visa holder
- are not required to pay international student tuition fees for your studies at the Local Campus
- will be receiving a different Murdoch scholarship for the same period (unless Murdoch grants an exemption);
- have received an Australian Government scholarship that covers all or part of your tuition fees
- are sponsored by a non-Australian Government funding body that holds a scholarship agreement with Murdoch University.
