La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship

Background

La Trobe University values academic excellence. High achieving International students thinking about applying for an undergraduate course will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

The La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship rewards high achieving International students. This scholarship is worth between 15% to 25% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.

  1. Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  2. Be a new International student applying for 2023/2024 intakes.
  3. Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored).
  4. Not available to humanitarian or other permanent visa holders.
  5. Apply to a program in the list of eligible courses

Applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship after submitting an application for an Approved course.

Background

The scholarship offers a 50% reduction on annual tuition fees for international students, who will be studying undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs for the entire duration of their course.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be a citizen and resident of India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh or Mauritius
  2. Be 18 years old or older at the commencement of the course; or must live with a student guardian approved by the Department of Home Affairs until they turn 18 years of age.
  3. Have an overall WAM* achievement of 80% or above.
  4. Commence their studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian Campuses in 2023.
  5. Meet the University’s English language requirements and all other conditions stated on the Offer Letter.

Academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and any other outstanding achievements.

Recipient obligations

  1. Maintain a full-time enrolment at one of the La Trobe University campuses in Australia and satisfactory academic progress during their studies.
  2. The scholarship award recipients must be willing to be an international student ambassador for La Trobe International during their study period.
  3. Please also refer to the terms and conditions included in the Offer Letter.

How to apply

  1. Applicants must submit a complete application for the course commencing in Semester 2 (July) or Summer 1 / Term 6 (November) intake of 2023 at La Trobe University – Victorian campuses.
  2. Applicants must also provide the following documents before the application closing date:
  3. A detailed resume
  4. A personal statement of no more than 300 words or a 3-4 minute video to detail “Why you should be awarded with the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship”.

  5. Applicants who have already applied for Semester 2 or Summer 1/Term 6 of 2023 will be considered for the scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria. They must send their resume and personal statement by the specified date.

Regional Scholarship – International Students

Background

The Regional Scholarship is available to international students who are considering applying to study at one of our regional campuses. This scholarship offers students the opportunity to experience high-quality learning in regional Australia.

  1. Applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship after applying based on the eligibility of the course.
  2. The scholarship will be included in the offer letter.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
