The Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship is available to apply for during the University’s Continuous Scholarship Round.

The scholarships are available for a period of two years for a master’s by research degree or three years for a Doctorate by research degree. The scholarship covers tuition fees and health cover costs.

Eligibility

  1. Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
  2. Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 6.0 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent.
  3. Have received an offer to study at Griffith by the scholarship application closing date.
  4. Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  5. Be a full-time student starting in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

How to Apply

  1. Apply to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Griffith University.
  2. Once you have your Letter of Offer, apply for the scholarship by the closing date . You will need to include academic records and a personal statement.
  3. If you meet all the eligibility requirements, a University panel will review your application.
  4. We will let you know the outcome of your application.

Terms & conditions

  1. Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including previous study results and English language proficiency.
  2. The scholarship applies to postgraduate coursework tuition fees only.
  3. The scholarship covers 50% of postgraduate coursework tuition fees only for the duration of the program on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements.
  4. Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction. Any change from International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship being no longer available.
  5. This is a competitive scholarship, and with limited scholarship numbers. When the limit for scholarship acceptances has been reached, the Griffith International Scholarship Office will advise applicants that all available scholarships have been awarded and the scholarships are withdrawn.
  6. Excludes students enrolling in Higher Degree Research, online programs (campus = online), non-award, Study Abroad Programs, Masters Qualifying Programs, MBA, Graduate Diploma of Flight Management, English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, programs that are only available part-time and programs delivered onshore or offshore in collaboration with a partner organization.
  7. Deferral of scholarships is not permitted.
  8. Recipients of this scholarship are expected to be profiled in Griffith University’s marketing activities.

International Student Academic Excellence Scholarship

  2. Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent in the most recent recognised qualification.
  3. Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  4. Be a full-time student starting in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
  5. Excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology and Graduate Diploma of Flight Management.

How to Apply

You don’t need to apply for the scholarship, we’ve kept it as easy as possible. Just apply to study at Griffith and we will let you know if you have been successful on your admission Letter of Offer.

Terms & Condition

  1. Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply, including previous study results and English language proficiency.
  2. The scholarship applies to tuition fees only for students commencing in 2024, 2025, or 2026. Students who defer commencement to 2027 or later are not eligible to receive the scholarship.
  3. The scholarship covers 25% of postgraduate coursework tuition fees only for the ‘duration’ of the eligible program on meeting the ongoing enrolment requirements. The duration is as the ‘Program Length’ of the first-degree program as stated in your Letter of Offer, less any credit received for previous study. Each deduction will be applicable by the census date of each relevant trimester of the program.
  4. If a student gets the award of a Griffith international student scholarship that is worth more than 25% of tuition fees, the scholarship at the higher value will apply rather than this scholarship.
  5. Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction. Any change from International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship being withdrawn.
  6. Excludes students enrolling in Higher Degree Research, non-award, Study Abroad Program, Masters Qualifying Program, MBA, Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Hons, Master of Dentistry, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology, Graduate Diploma of Flight Management, English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, programs that are only available part-time, and programs delivered onshore or offshore in collaboration with a partner organization.

  2. Complete the Direct entry program at Griffith English Language Institute  GELI).
  3. Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  4. Be a full-time student starting in either Trimester 1, 2 or 3 2024 at Griffith University.

How to apply

You don’t need to apply for the scholarship, we’ve kept it as easy as possible. Study the Direct Entry Program at GELI and we will let you know if you are the successful student from your cohort.

Terms and conditions

  1. Griffith University academic and English language entry requirements apply.
  2. Scholarship applies to undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees only.
  3. AU$1,000 will be deducted from undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees only and will be applied in the first trimester in the first year of the program. It will be applied by the Griffith University census date of the program.
  4. Students must be International Fee Paying to qualify for the scholarship and scholarship deduction. Any change from International Fee Paying student status will result in the scholarship being withdrawn.
  5. No permit for Deferral of scholarships.
  6. Excludes Study Abroad and Exchange programs, Higher Degree Research, Government scholarship students, online, non-award and offshore-delivered programs.
