2024 Global Curtin Scholarships – Merit Scholarship

Description

Curtin University strives to give high achieving students around the world the opportunity to pursue their ambitions and gain a world-class education. Through the Merit Scholarship, Curtin rewards our international students who are eligible.

This scholarship category awards eligible students 25% off their first year of tuition.

Eligible courses

All postgraduate degrees (master by coursework only) available to international students

Eligibility criteria

This scholarship is only for:

  1. International, fee-paying, non-sponsored students of any nationality except Australian
  2. Students who have met or exceeded the higher academic cut-off score determined by Curtin specific to this Scholarship
  3. Students commencing studies at Curtin’s Western Australia campuses for the first time in 2024
  4. Students commencing a full Curtin master course program

Please note that this scholarship:

  1. Covers a maximum of 25% of the first-year tuition fee up to a MAXIMUM of 200 credit points only
  2. Only applicable in full for students who are completing a minimum of 400 credit points within their mainstream course
  3. Will only amount to 25% of the first-semester tuition fee for students who are completing a minimum of 300 credit points within their mainstream course
  4. Only covers tuition fees and does not cover any other international student expense
  5. Will be credited to recipient’s fee account by census date of the study period
  6. Scholarship value credited cannot be accessed/refunded in cash
  7. Revokes at the discretion of Curtin if recipient already has a scholarship or sponsorship
  8. Can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enrol in their course by the date specified
  9. CANNOT be retained if a recipient defers their studies beyond a 2024 start date
  10. CANNOT be transferred to a Curtin campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university
  11. Will NOT be extended beyond its prescribed duration or amount unless notified otherwise by Curtin

Application process

There is no requirement for a separate scholarship application.

2024 Global Curtin Study Abroad Scholarship

Curtin University offers a one-semester Study Abroad scholarship to our Study Abroad students. It provides eligible students with 25% off one semester of the 2024 not-for-degree study abroad tuition fee.

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship is only for:

  1. An international student, not-for-degree study abroad and non-sponsored student and
  2. Enrolment in a Curtin not-for-degree study abroad program in 2024 (course) and
  3. Students who will be studying at Curtin Western Australia (WA campus) for the first time in 2024 and
  4. Students who meet Curtin’s entry requirement for the course.

To prevent revoke of the scholarship, the recipient:

  1. Must maintain a full-time enrolment in the not-for-degree study abroad program for the duration of the Scholarship.
  2. Must not defer the Scholarship beyond 2024.
  3. Abide by Curtin’s policies and procedures, Student Charter, and not guilty of serious misconduct.
  4. Not received, held, or awarded any other Curtin Scholarship while receiving this Scholarship.
  5. No transfer is available to a Curtin campus or partner outside of WA or another university.
  6. Must meet the Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship either voluntarily or involuntarily. In case of revoke, the student must pay any outstanding fees for the not-for-degree study abroad program at Curtin.
