It began in 2003 after the merger of Northern Territory University, the Menzies School of Health Research, and Centralian College. It ranks #601-610 in QS World University Rankings 2024. About the scholarship

CDU offers a limited number of scholarships for international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement.
The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and also not transferable to another person, semester, course or year.

What you’ll receiveThe scholarship applies to an undergraduate coursework degree covering 50% of the tuition fee for the full duration of the course.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicant must apply to commence study in S1 or S2 2024 (the intake they get first)
  2. Must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course
  3. Applicant must have a minimum overall score of 95% in their highest completed qualification
  4. Must be an international student paying international student fees
  5. Applicant must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsoring agency

Selection Criteria

  1. Overall score in their highest completed qualification
  2. Supporting statements (up to 600 words) outlining why you should get a scholarship

Duration

The duration of the Scholarship is the minimum time in which the course can be completed or when one of the following is true:

  1. The maximum Scholarship value has been exhausted
  2. You have completed your course
  3. You no longer meet the ongoing eligibility of the scholarship
Ongoing Eligibility

In order to retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

  1. Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees.
  2. Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before each semester’s payment due date (first day of teaching).
  3. Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester with a minimum GPA of 5.3 and no fail grade in any unit.
  4. Maintain a full-time enrolment of 40 credit points (0.5 EFTSL) each semester or be approved to reduce their study load or take a leave of absence.

The scholarships will enable 5 students to receive funding for the duration of a 3-year Bachelor degree. Students will be expected to pay the equivalent of $USD9000 per annum each year for the duration of their Bachelors program. CDU will cover the remaining tuition and accommodation expenses at CDU on-campus student accommodation.

Scholarship OfferFive (5) DIS graduates per year S1 2024 and S1 2025 that meet English and academic entry requirements will receive access to yearly tuition fee and accommodation scholarships to reduce overall fees paid to $AUD12,900 per annum.

  1. Applicants must commence any CDU Darwin undergraduate program from Semester 1 2024 or Semester 1 2025 for on-campus study
  2. commence in full-time study mode
  3. Applicants must meet the University’s academic English requirement for their chosen course
  4. must be an international student paying international student fees
  5. Applicants must be an international student that has completed their DIS Y12 qualification and ATAR
  1. Completion of DIS high school Y12 equivalent qualification and ATAR score that meets program entry requirements
  2. Supporting statement (up to 600 words) outlining why DIS student should be awarded a scholarship

In order to retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

  1. Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees
  2. Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before the payment due date (first day of teaching) of each semester
  3. Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester with a minimum GPA of 5.3 and with no fail grade in any unit
  4. Maintain a full-time enrolment of 40 credit points (0.5 EFTSL) each semester or have the approval to reduce their study
