In British Columbia, Canada, a multi-campus, small government institution with a focus on research is known as the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Prince George is home to the main campus of the university. However, there are additional campuses in Prince Rupert, Terrace, Quesnel, and Fort St. John. The institution secured the “Canada’s Green University” trademark in 2007.
