University of Alberta is a government post-secondary research institution in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is commonly popular as U of A or UAlberta. Alexander Cameron Rutherford, the first premier of Alberta, and Henry Marshall Tory, the institution’s first president, began U of A in 1908. The Post-secondary Learning Act gave it legal standing.The university has five campuses, including the principal North Campus, which spans around 50 city blocks and is running on one of the four campuses in Edmonton.

The Augustana Campus, the university’s fifth location, is in the small town of Camrose, about an hour’s drive from Edmonton. The smaller Augustana Campus, which emphasizes liberal arts and sciences, is home to about 1,000 students.The University is famous throughout the world for giving graduates the knowledge and abilities to become tomorrow’s leaders.
