The CRF PhD Excellence Award are $5,000 per annum for up to 3 years only to augment an Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Stipend Scholarship or equivalent competitive scholarship.

Conditions of Funding
Successful HDA Scholars will be required to participate in the HDA Research Training Program during their candidature. The program consists of a 20-hour practicum placement, mentoring component, and attending and assisting as required at HDA events.
Annual renewal of top-up funding will also be subject to meeting your University postgraduate requirements, and subject to ongoing funding availability from the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation.

The University of Adelaide offers a number of Full Fee Scholarships to support outstanding international students from any country to commence their education via a Masters or Doctorate degree by research.Awards are available in all Discipline areas.

Exceptions
- Full Fee Scholarships will not be available to individual “privately sponsored students”. Students receiving stipends from individual sponsors without a formal university agreement are ineligible for these scholarships. This requirement shall not apply to students nominated in grant applications made to recognized funding bodies where a formal application is subject to peer review.
- Students in receipt of overseas government funding are ineligible for Full Fee Scholarships unless a Memorandum of Understanding exists between the University and the Sponsor to cover such awards.
- Under normal circumstances, Full Fee Scholarships will not be provided for students who seek a second (or subsequent) degree that is at the same level. Or or a lower level, than the highest one they already hold. In exceptional cases, a scholarship might be available to students who have undergone a significant disciplinary shift and hold a comparable award for at least five years.
Benefits
- Provides a 100% Tuition Fee Waiver which covers the cost of tuition fees as a higher degree by a research student of the University of Adelaide for up to 2 years for a Research Master’s degree. Also, up to 3 years (with a possible 6-month extension) for a Doctor of Philosophy.
- Note: The full Fee Scholarship duration corresponds exactly to the accompanying stipend scholarship. The University reserves the right to discontinue the Full Fee Scholarship if the stipend funding is no longer available.
